Co-Marketing
- Brand Parity: Both brands must adhere to the "Equal Visual Prominence" rule (1:1 ratio) found in the Co-Branding section. No logo shall be displayed larger or more vibrantly than the other. (Note: A slight adjustment of up to 20% may be permitted if one party covers >80% of the marketing budget, provided the other logo remains no smaller than 80% of the partner's size).
- Data & Privacy: Strictly no sharing of personal user data. Any leads or data generated by the campaign shall be handled according to the Privacy Pledge. If data is shared, it must be aggregated and anonymized only.
- Costs: Marketing costs shall be shared equally unless a separate written agreement states otherwise. No party assumes liability for the other's independent marketing actions or content.
- No Joint Venture: This arrangement does not constitute a Joint Venture. No new legal entity shall be formed, and no equity is exchanged.
- Compliance: All content must strictly adhere to Individual's Privacy Pledge and global Security Standards.
- No Scripted Endorsements: The Individual retains full creative control over all communications. The Individual shall not be required to read a pre-written script, adhere to a list of censored actions, or follow a mandatory chain of events dictated by the sponsor.
Sponsorships
In a sponsorship arrangement, The Individual does not act as a sponsor for third-party events, products, or organizations. The Individual does not provide funding, resources, or financial support in exchange for brand exposure.
Exception & Liability Fallback: In the extremely rare event that a sponsorship arrangement is entered into (e.g., a community donation or one-time support):
- No Partnership Status: The arrangement shall not constitute a Joint Venture, partnership, or shared legal entity.
- Liability Limitation: The Individual assumes no liability for the actions, debts, or legal issues of the sponsored party. Individual's involvement is strictly limited to the provision of the agreed-upon funds or resources.
- Brand Protection: The sponsored party may display Individual's logo only as a "Supporter" or "Donor" in a manner that does not imply an endorsement of their specific products or services beyond the scope of the donation.
- Privacy Compliance: The sponsored party must adhere to Individual's Privacy Pledge regarding any data they might collect in Individual's name. They are prohibited from using the Individual's name for "personal marketing" or "information warfare" campaigns.
- Override: If any ambiguity arises, the terms of Individual's "No Joint Venture" policy shall override any sponsorship agreement language.
- No Scripted Endorsements: The Individual retains full creative control over all communications. The Individual shall not be required to read a pre-written script, adhere to a list of censored actions, or follow a mandatory chain of events dictated by the sponsor.
Content Collaboration
Content Collaboration & Neutrality In a Content Collaboration (e.g., co-authoring, guest posting, cross-promotion), the Individual approaches the relationship with strict neutrality.
- No Promotion: The Individual does not act as a promoter or paid influencer. The Individual will not write content that is biased, exaggerated, or intended to generate sales or traffic for the partner's products.
- Honest Opinion: The Individual's content shall reflect the Individual's own honest perspective and research. If a product or service has flaws, the Individual reserves the right to mention them.
- Creative Control: The Individual shall not be required to read scripts, adhere to censored topics, or follow a specific chain of events dictated by the partner. Unscripted chaos is much preferable if the collaboration happens in a sandboxed environment, such as a video game.
- Duration of Time: In this arrangement, the maximum amount of time is allowed to be up to three months of content, including the production of said content aside from editing the content.
- Override: If any ambiguity arises, the terms of Individual's "No Joint Venture" policy shall override any sponsorship agreement language.
- No Joint Venture: This arrangement does not constitute a Joint Venture or shared legal entity.
- Privacy Compliance: Any data collected in Individual's name (e.g., newsletter sign-ups) shall be handled according to Individual's Privacy Pledge. The Individual shall not be responsible for the partner's data practices.
Brand Amassadorship
Ambassadorship & Neutrality In a brand ambassadorship (e.g., co-authoring, guest posting, cross-promotion), arrangement where the Individual function as the ambassador:
- No Promotion: The Individual does not act as a promoter or paid influencer. The Individual will not write content that is biased, exaggerated, or intended to generate sales or traffic for the partner's products.
- Honest Opinion: The Individual's content shall reflect Individual's own honest perspective and research. If a product or service has flaws, The Individual reserves the right to mention them. The Individual shall also not be restricted to being loyal or exclusive to the brand
- Creative Control: The Individual shall not be required to read scripts, adhere to censored topics, or follow a specific chain of events dictated by the partner. Unscripted chaos is much preferable if the collaboration happens in a sandboxed environment, such as a video game.
- Tenure: The ambassadorship tenure shall not exceed one (1) week. Any post-term restriction — including but not limited to non-compete, non-solicitation, or continued exclusivity clauses extending beyond the active tenure — is not accepted as a condition of this arrangement. Any agreement containing such terms will not be signed unless those clauses are removed or the agreement expressly states they do not apply. Should such terms nonetheless appear in a signed agreement due to oversight, they shall be treated as null and superseded by this policy, and the Ambassador reserves the right to disregard them accordingly, without prejudice to renegotiation or termination of the arrangement.
- Deliverables: Brand-requested content shall be guaranteed at a minimum of one (1) piece of content. Multi-part or extended long-form series may not be feasible within the one-week tenure and are not guaranteed, given real-world scheduling constraints.
